Lighting

 Lighting

Due to most of the filming being held inside a building there isn't much to comment on for the lighting aspect of the film. For the scene in which the police officer arrives in his car, we had filmed much later into the day in order to build an atmosphere os seriousness and tensions as it would be strange for the crime scene to be in broad daylight. We then transition into a contrasting sunny day in which Jacob's character can be seen approaching the crime scene, only to revert back to the dim and poorly lighting filming as we enter the interrogation room. Because this is a serious matter that would ultimately determine the fate of these four teens, we had determined that it would be best if the room was dark for the most part with very minimal
lighting throughout the scenes. The lighting was not edited in the post production, though I do feel as though it could have been slightly better if we had casted some sort of shadow over the face of whoever was talking in order to further develop that feeling of tension.
