First Day of Filming
First Day of Filming
We decided to have a post filming meal.
For the main focus of our first day of filming on February 26th, we were aiming to film a bulk of the interrogation scenes and, if we had enough time, film the group conversation in which we all appear. In terms of the entire day, we spent a lot of time driving around trying to determine our film locations. In order to attain our establishing shot in which we will show off our title card, we went to various police stations; however, we had to delay the day in which we would film it as the weather was not on our side and we lacked the means to record the scene that we had envisioned at the time. We also drove to a couple of libraries which we had decided would be the location of a majority of our filming as it is a quiet location with an isolated room ideal for interrogations. Regarding the filming process, the most difficult part was the acting, as expected. Due to the content of the film, we had an extremely difficult time in keeping a straight face for the duration of each scene, which resulted in a plethora of retakes. As for how much progress we made, we managed to film almost all of our interrogation scenes with the exception of Jacob's particularly passionate rage scene. Since we only had 2 hours in the room at the library, we will most definitely have to schedule another filming day in the near future, but I think we made decent progress considering all things.
These are the two police stations that we are deciding between for the establishing shot, though it will be the one on the right that we will use in all likelihood.
