Main Character Analysis

 MAIN CHARACTER ANALYSIS

Something that I believe will not be particularly unique to our group's film opening would be that out main character is a group of characters rather than one individual person. Due to the nature of our film, there will be a total of four main characters, each of which will have a very distinctive personality archetype, each playing an infinitely more crucial role to the story than most other characters that my be featured inn our film opening.

Jason Smith (JOCK) - Jacob Piña

We have characterized the jock, Jason Smith, being played by Jacob Piña, as a tall individual with light eyes and long, brown hair. His attire consists of a red letterman jacket with a white polo underneath and blue jeans. A prop for him to carry would be a football or basketball (we haven't decided which would be best yet). On the surface, he would appear to have the ideal male life as a member of the sports team. However, underneath his perfect facade, he is a typical teenager with a plethora of problems. Such problems including failing grades, fake friends, parental discourse, his girlfriend broke up with him, and, to top it all off, he has no offer from any colleges or universities despite being in his senior year of college. His pent up stress become apparent in this high intensity situation as he reveals his hotheaded nature. Throughout our plot, his personality would lead those around him to have a low opinion of him, making his case of innocence all the harder to make.

Simon Peters (NERD) - Tyler Bedasse

Played by myself, Tyler Bedasse, Simon Peters shall represent the characteristics of the typical high school "nerd". Simon, a tall, skinny kid with short, dark hair and dark eyes, is well known in school as the top of the class with the option to attend any university of his choosing. Sporting a light blue top with khakis, eyeglasses, and dress shoes, Simon takes this situation possibly the most serious out of out main characters as he has the most to lose due to his potential future opportunities being lost because of him being involved in this case. As a devoted student, sparing almost no time for social activities, Simon is an absolute outcast in his school, even to the extent of being victim to bullying on occasions. Due to a lack of social interactions, he struggles to properly communicate and express himself, which can prove to be a fatal fault in this movie opening in which he must prove his innocence.

Felicity Rox (RICH GIRL) - Kayla Jencic

Felicity is the typical rich girl living off of her father's wealth and she is going to be played by Kayla Jencic. With a short and small physique and short, black hair, Felicity is going to be seen wearing a purple sweater vest, black skirt, leggings, and ballet flats. Also, Felicity will be seen wearing an obnoxious amount of jewelry, almost as if to show off her wealth and make it known to all. Contrary to the jock, Felicity's life is perfect on the inside and out with loving parents, a luxurious house, a great boyfriend, and her future is set up for her to inherit her father's business. She truly cannot want for anything in the world. She will be speaking with a, as Aaliyah said, a "valley girl" accent, which I imagine the purpose of such an accent would to be pompous and annoying. She has a tendency to act clueless and naive when in reality she is probably the smartest character when it comes to understanding the complexities of society and the quirks of other people. She has strong mental fortitude; however, the situation at hand continuously chips away at her mind, setting her up for a colossal collapse.

Myah Flores (ARTSY GIRL) - Aaliyah Alex

Finally, the role of the artsy girl, Myah Flores, will be played by Aaliyah Alex. Myah will have a short physique with long brown hair an dark eyes. Underneath her paint covered overalls would be her green hoodie and converse. She will also be wearing a beanie in order to emphasize the comfortable nature of her attire. Almost as though it has absolutely nothing to do with her, she is completely disconnected from the situation at hand and unfazed by what is presented before her. With an unhealthy obsession to her art, she is a very upbeat person in school with the most normal school life in comparison to the rest of our main characters. However, when she gets pushed over the edge, she will be the first one to break down. She will have a very slow manner of speech and would have the tendency of mumbling to herself as if in her own world. When the tension of the situation reaches its peak, she will become the most uncontrollable character with her emotions being bare for everyone to see plastered right on her worrying face.
